My name is Carlos and I'm a Game Designer.
Well, designing games with Realtime Board(RB) is just amazing.
We can share and edit (in real time!) ideas with co-workers and friends
for a better game development process.
As RB is full of templates and graphic tools,
is easy to start sketching ideas around,
create subtitles for better understanding of maps and stuff,
anyway, it's awesome.
But see, in the Level Design phase,
things get real full of documentation.
We have lots and lots of maps and stuff going on.
So, imagine this:
- We have our master board shared with everyone of the team
- In it, is the game design rules, art direction notes, code architecture and the level design area.
- Now, imagine that, every level of the game is in an icon, that you can enter and see the level itself.
- That would be a revolutionary step of organization within the board without occupying too much space, what would be tiring and boring (and not smart) doing.
With that simple tool, we could not just create new "boards" inside one,
but areas to gather some kind of specific info like, the art stuff and the code stuff.
Everything separated in its own place.
That's just an idea.
Of course I understand that maybe the technical
limitations might be very high for something like that,
but as a designer I know that...
The worst idea, is the one that is not shared.
Ok, I hope news from you guys soon!
Thank you very much,
Carlos Alberto Andres
