The multiple teams option allows you to have a well-structured Company account, simplify access rights delegation and account management in general. Each user's access rights depend on the team(s) they are in.
With multiple teams, you can assign Team-level administrators to manage each team and have Company-level Administrators managing the Company-level settings and features. To manage the teams under the Company umbrella, please go to your profile page > Company > Teams:
Teams of the Company account
Creating a new Team
On the same page, click Create new team:
Creating a new team
The team is now listed in the Teams section from where it can always be reached. You will also be immediately redirected to the team Settings where you can set the team's Name, Logo, Team signup mode, Invitation settings, Integrations, and Plugins and invite new users from your Company. More on how to manage the Team settings is in this article.
Deleting a team
Both Company and Team-level admins can delete a team at any time. Please see this article on how to delete a team.
It's possible to save board backups, move the boards to another Team, or export them before deleting the team. The members of the team will stay under the Company umbrella but will only be able to continue working if they are a member of at least one other team (so they have access to at least one workspace).
Who can see the teams in the Company account?
Each Company user is able to see all the teams under the Company umbrella. Note that only the Team or Company administrators are able to open the team settings.
For example, this user belongs to all 3 teams but has administrative rights in the first one only. They also do not have Company-level administrative rights and therefore do not have access to any Company-level settings, only to the Members and Teams sections:
The settings will only show the sections that you are allowed to manage
Users without administrative rights are only able to open the Members list of every team:
